Watch Servicing

Watch Servicing & Overhauls

Watch Repairs

Has you watch stopped losing time, behaving erratically or have you had a battery replacement but the problem persists?

Watch movements are very complex and are made with very small precision parts and quartz watches include the use of electrical components as well, all these items work together continually to keep you watch running. Eventually the parts of your watch will become worn out, broken or even loose, causing your watch to completely stop working or lose time.
The specialist watch oils and lubricants become dry and cease up, it is advised to have your watch serviced every 2 – 5 years to ensure it’s working at its optimal best.
A.R. Smith Jewellers are happy to produce a estimate to repair or service your wrist watch. We currently work on the majority of watch brands and movement types, including: quartz, mechanical models. Our full servicing is completed to the highest standard.
We endeavour to do the majority of quartz movement servicing in house and we also partner with several qualified watch technicians to repair and service mechanical watches and specialist quartz repairs.
We also work closely with several accredited state of the art and highly trained Swiss watch repairers to repair and service top brands including; Rolex, Omega and Tag Heuer.
This is very important as only accredited workshops have the knowledge and training to service your watch to the strict guidelines as set out by all the top Swiss brands and most importantly the access to any original spare parts required to service your beloved timepiece and give you many more years of pleasure.
We will always offer the best advice for your watch repairs, and if possible, give you a price guide on the repair of your timepiece.
Prices cannot be given over the phone as every watch repair and watch type will differ in price although prices start from as low as £20.00 for the most simplest Quartz watch servicing.
As prices can go into several hundreds of pounds and above for top luxury and Swiss brands, a full estimate can only be given when the watch has been fully dismantled, inspected and the watch technician knows the exact timing along with any spare parts required to put your watch back to full working order.

We also undertake Quartz Clock Repairs, as long as the spare parts are still available to us.
Unfortunately we no longer undertake mechanical pocket watches, mechanical clocks or barometer repairs, or supply any type of watch, clock or barometer components and spare parts.
